Download Reels Videos: The 15-second Reels videos allows you to create fun and energetic videos with different music, playback speed, effects, stickers, and more. Just like on TikTok, now on Instagram you can stumble upon some funny video that you want to share. Unfortunately, Instagram does not have an option to download Reels videos, however, there are several other ways.
The Reels feature resembles the TikTok app, but Instagram has integrated filters and its editing tools into it. The Reels videos have a separate tab in the Overview section. You can officially download your videos, but not someone else’s.
The company allows Reel videos to be saved, but they remain in the app and cannot be shared with others. When you try to share a video, it will be sent as a link, which is not very convenient.
How to download your Instagram Reels on iPhone
First, let’s talk about how to download your Instagram Reels videos on your iPhone. You can do this before posting the video.
Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Go to the story creation menu.
Step 3: Select the Reels menu.
Step 4: Record your Reel video using music, different speeds, effects, a timer, and stickers.
Step 5: Once you’ve created your video, you can click the back arrow to play it again, or the forward arrow to add text or a picture. Press the forward arrow.
Step 6: There will be a download button in the top right corner. Click it to save the video to your iPhone.
To download an already published Reels video, go to your profile and select the Reels tab. Open any video and click on the button in the form of three dots. Select Save. Unfortunately, other people’s videos cannot be saved this way.
The saved video will appear in the Photos app. It’s easy to save your own Reels videos, but you can’t say the same about other people’s videos.
How to download other people’s Instagram Reels
To download other people’s videos, we will use the Total application.
Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Find the Reels video you want to download.
Step 3: Click the three dots button and select “Copy Link”.
Step 4: Now open the App Store on your iPhone.
Step 5: Find the Total app and download it.

Step 6: Open the Total app and click on the web icon at the bottom of the screen.
Step 7: Paste the link you copied from Instagram.
Step 8: A video page will open, play it.
Step 9: A window will appear asking you to download the video. Select a checkmark.
Step 10: Total will ask you to select a save location. Select and click Done in the top right corner.
Step 11: Return to the main page of the Total app. All downloaded content is displayed here.
Step 12: Pinch the video to display different options: rename, copy, compress, delete, hide, etc.
Step 13: Select Share and click Save.
That’s it, the video will appear in the Photos app. With the Total application, you can also download videos from Twitter from Facebook.

How to Download Instagram Reels on PC
There is a web version of Instagram from which you can also download Reels videos. For this, we use a special site.
Step 1: Open the Instagram website and log into your account.
Step 2: Open the desired Reel video and click on the three dots button in the top right corner.
Step 3: Select Copy link.
Step 4: Go to the instavideosave website and paste the video link.
Step 5: The service will download the video with the download link.
Step 6: Click the link to save the video to your computer.
