Since the release of the first generation Apple Watch, the watch has been able to run up to 18 hours on a single battery charge. Now with watchOS 9, the watch can run up to 36 hours on a single charge with power saving mode turned on.
Although Apple Watch Ultra can run for 36 hours without power saving mode, it can also be enabled for this feature.
In addition to the standard power-saving mode, the Apple Watch Ultra will have an “additional power-saving mode setting that reduces GPS frequency and heart rate.” Power saving mode on the Apple Watch Ultra will extend the battery life up to 60 hours.
How to enable power saving mode on Apple Watch
